The work of the Partida Group thrives as a
result of its network of experienced researchers and independent
consultants. The Partida Group partners with researchers to look at health
policy and practice problems, and with independent consultants who contribute
subject expertise and experience.
Organizational StructureThe
Partida Group's organizational
structure is characterized by centralized management and project specific teams.
The Partida Group will partner with researchers to look at the health policy and practice
problems in the context of diverse populations, and independent consultants with
subject expertise and experience. The structure of the firm is characterized by:
- Centralized management. Use centralized project management and
quality monitoring capacity to meet client timelines and prepare deliverables
using teams that work virtually across distance.
- Virtual working environment. Develop communication technology to
support project teams working across distance.
- Project-specific teams. Offer clients the best and brightest project
teams and enable collaboration and joint marketing by forming partnerships with
minority independent consultants and researchers and developing on-going
business relationships.
- Sharing What We Learn. Within copyright laws and with client
approval, develop a resource website to share literature, reports, project
deliverables and other information gathered in the course of completing projects
to support work by others in the field.
Technical Capabilities and Characteristics
The Partida Group offers
proven leadership, a combination of experienced personnel and strong operating
resources such as centralized business infrastructure and project management,
and communication support. These capabilities include state-of-the-art computing
and communication technology, library and research capabilities, and project
oriented financial and accounting systems to enable collaboration and exchange
on projects and on knowledge building pursuits.
The core staff of
TPG is comprised of experienced consulting staff, many of whom worked together
in a publicly traded, for-profit firm with multiple offices and bicoastal teams.
This working environment forces attention on project management and disciplined
processes of working together with the support of computing and communication
technology. TPG will use this experience to create a centralized unit of project
support staff, which will include a research analyst, clerical support and
experienced project managers to support the work of project teams. Each team
will have support staff assigned and undergoing training for working and
communicating in a team environment.
Commitment to Quality. TPG teams will be staffed with the best and
brightest consultants and researchers. The products produced will reflect the
talent and experience of the senior members of the teams. To insure consistency
and product quality, all reports and deliverables will undergo peer review for
content by appropriate TPG staff and partners and editorial review for
presentation and readability by an experienced editor/writer. The cost of this
service will be included in project budgets.
State-of-the-Art Computing Capabilities and Communication Technology.
A state-of-the-art automation environment underpins all of the work we do. Our
system will have two main components, a Local Area Network (LAN) and the
availability of super minicomputers. Each environment has different
capabilities, but will enable staff to communicate and share resources through
an Ethernet network running on products such as Novell Netware, Microsoft NT
Advanced Server, TCP/IP, Netware for Macintosh and Unix, and a Microsoft Outlook
Server.
Library and Research Services. Access to a fully functional library
and current subscriptions to general and technical journals, as well as
specialized materials in the areas of public health policy, health care, managed
competition, long-term care, and medical technology and research will be needed.
TPG will contract or arrange for access to federal publications and reports,
such as the Federal Register, GAO reports, and the NCHS Monthly Vital Statistics
report. Over time TPG will establish accounts with on-line systems such as
DIALOG (over 400 multi-searchable databases); Grateful Med (National Library of
Medicine) and access to DATASTAR, ORBIT, LEXIS/NEXIS, WESTLAW/Dow Jones,
DataTimes, and Dun & Bradstreet Business Information Reports.
